The people of Isu in Arochukwu local government area of Abia state are currently in a jubilant mood after the official flagging off the first phase of a 2.5-kilometer road of Niger Delta intervention project attracted by the Senator representing Abia North, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu.
The project title is the construction of Orir-Ikot Okpura Arochukwu road.
Speaking with ABN TV on Wednesday during the exercise, the Secretary-General Isu Progressive Union Mr. Amarachi Kalu expressed delight that the project will ameliorate the transport challenges the people have over the years faced, adding that the dividend of democratic governance has reached them.

He allayed fears that security challenges will affect the work, insisting that the area where the project is sited is safe.
He urged the contractor to carry on with the assignment, saying security is assured.
Also, the councilor representing Isu ward, Hon. Okoye Kalu Okoye expressed happiness that the long-awaited execution of the project has finally become a reality.
They expressed appreciation to the Senate Chief Whip for making the project a priority.
