Abia state governor, Dr. Alex Otti has expressed optimism that the lingering boundary dispute between Isu community in Arochukwu local government area and its neighbours in Cross River will soon be a thing of the past.

The governor gave this assurance on Friday in Umuahia the state capital during his monthly media chat with newsmen.

The governor while admitting that his administration recently sent a relief material to the affected community said authorities in Cross River have demonstrated willingness to the amicable resolution of the boundary disputes.

“Boundary disputes sometimes linger, but by the time you share a boundary, it means there is a relationship, you could be brothers and sisters, so I believe we would resolve the problem, given that the two states are favourably disposed”, the governor assured.
