IPOB Sit-At-Home Order: Stay Absent And Be Sanctioned, Ikpeazu Warns Abia Workers

Abia state governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has cautioned workers in the state against absence from work following the sit-at-home directives by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The proscribed group had called for a sit-at-home in five states of the Southeast every Monday in solidarity with the leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is currently standing trial over offences bordering on treasonable felony.

In a statement obtained by ABN TV on Monday from Barr Chris Ezem, Secretary to Abia State Government he warned that workers who absent themselves from their duty posts will be appropriately sanctioned.

He added that only those who are exempted from work on the account of COVID-19 protocol are to remain absent.
