Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB are currently holding a protest in Aba, demanding the immediate release of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The protesters numbering hundreds came out, chanting solidarity songs, wielding placards and IPOB flags.
ABN TV gathered that the development has halted the free flow of traffic in parts of Aba.
Recall that the court of Appeals in Abuja had recently discharged and acquitted Nnamdi Kanu of all charges against him, which bordered on terrorism.
The federal government has however kept him in detention, alleging he still has cases to answer.
Nnamdi Kanu who has been in detention since last year has through his counsel, Mike Ozekhome approached the Supreme Court, seeking his immediate release.
