Interpol President Loses Mother, Sir Chikwe Udensi Leads Delegation To Abu Dhabi For Funeral (Photos)

The global law enforcement community has been thrown into mourning following the passing of the mother of Major General Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, President of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), ABN TV reports.

Confirming the development, Nigerian Interpol Systems Consultant and renowned security expert, Sir Chikwe Udensi, disclosed that he led a high-level delegation of security experts from Europe and the AGM to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to honour the deceased and commiserate with the Interpol President.

“I arrived in Dubai and proceeded to Abu Dhabi, where I led a delegation of experts for the funeral and a condolence visit to our friend and leader, General Ahmed Al-Raisi,” Sir Udensi stated.

The late mother of General Al-Raisi was a respected member of the Emirati royal family, whose life of dignity and service is being celebrated across the UAE and beyond.

In a show of international unity, a delegation from the International Security Association (ISA), representing all continents of the world, also gathered in Abu Dhabi to commiserate with the Interpol President. The gesture reflects the deep respect and global admiration for General Al-Raisi’s leadership and the significant role he plays in global policing and intelligence.

“Ahmed is a loyal personal friend and a leader of great vision. His stewardship of Interpol has redefined global security cooperation. It was only fitting that we joined hands from every part of the world to stand by him in this moment of grief,” Sir Udensi noted.

Sir Udensi, known for his diplomatic acumen and global security engagements, said the visit was not just ceremonial, but an act of deep personal and professional solidarity.

He is expected to remain in Abu Dhabi until the end of the week before returning to Nigeria.

General Ahmed Al-Raisi is currently the President of Interpol, the world’s largest international police organization, responsible for facilitating cooperation among 195 countries to combat transnational crime, cyber threats, human trafficking, and terrorism.

Sir Chikwe Udensi’s presence at the funeral and the international representation by ISA underscores the unifying nature of global law enforcement collaboration in times of both action and empathy.
