International Football: Diaz Dumps Spain For Morocco

Former Spain U21 star, Brahim Díaz has decided to dump his country of birth in order to represent Morocco at senior level.

The Real Madrid attacking midfielder will now play for African instead of his country of birth, according to football expert, Fabricio Romano.

Diaz has played for Spain U17, U19 and U21 and still qualifies to play for Morocco despite playing once for the Spanish senior national team.

“He’s going to play for Morocco and not for Spain,” he said.

“Just a matter of time before it will be made official by all parties involved.”

Brahim was born in Spain to a Spanish mother and a Moroccan father, making him eligible to play for Morocco.
