Insecurity: Telecom Masts In Nigeria Should Have Cameras – Gen Usman

Retired Brig. Gen. Sani Usman on Thursday advised federal authorities to install cameras on telecommunication masts to check insecurity.

The former Army Director of Public Relations said the cameras can be used to monitor bandits and terrorists.

Usman made the suggestion at the 11th National Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Institution of Space Engineers (NISE) in Abuja.

“The Federal Government should consider the installation of cameras on telecommunication masts that are within kidnapping and banditry prone areas,” he said.
