Insecurity A Demonstration Of Anger In People’s Mind — Security Expert

Renowned Interpol Systems Consultant, Sir Chikwe Udensi has stated that frustration in the mind of Nigerians has fuelled insecurity in the country, insisting that it is a demonstration of their anger.

He said inability of youths to secure employment years after graduation, inability of families to feed, and other problems bordering on welfare of individuals and families has blossomed into anger.

In a recent chat with ABN TV, Sir Udensi said reasonable and meaningful wage would suffice instead of minimum wage, insisting that N30,000 minimum wage is not enough by any standard to cater for a family for thirty days.

People are frustrated. Those who are employed don’t earn a reasonable and meaningful wage. I keep saying we don’t need a minimum wage. We need a liveable wage.

“You must have a wage that can keep you above water level. We don’t have that in the country. So people are frustrated. The burning of the police stations and attacks on security infrastructure epitomises the anger of the people. It shows you the feeling of the people” he said.

Sir Udensi also stressed that the security operatives are frustrated, saying they are not motivated to work in terms of equipment and welfare, adding that insecurity will thrive under such circumstances.
