INEC Sets New Deadline For PVC Collection

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has extended the deadline for collecting Permanent Voter Cards, or PVCs, across the country.

During a meeting with RECs from the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja on Friday, the Commission’s Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, stated that the Commission will not hesitate to consider additional measures to ensure that all citizens have ample opportunity to collect their PVCs ahead of the general election.

After reviewing reports from all the Federation’s states, the Commission stated that the progress made as more Nigerians troop out daily to collect their PVCs encouraged it.

As a result, the Commission announced the continuous collection of PVCs in all of its local offices.
