The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, Member of the House of Representatives for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal constituency, as the winner of Saturday’s election for the constituency in Abia State.
Mr. John Osuji, INEC Returning Officer for the election, declared Osonwa who polled 8,946 votes as winner at the Ohafia Central School zonal collation centre in Elu Ohafia, Ohafia local government area of the state on Monday.
Osuji said the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dan Okeke scored 6,635, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Okuji Oreh pulled 5,211, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu, had 2,763 votes.
