Governor Alex Otti has quashed speculations linking him to a possible defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) or involvement in a coalition of opposition political parties.
Addressing the rumour during his speech at the mid-year retreat of government appointees, Otti said he remains a committed member of the Labour Party, having stood firm with the party even during its internal crisis.
“I’m still a member of the Labour Party and I’m not looking for where to decamp to,” the Governor declared. “People have asked if I’m part of the coalition — I ask them, have you seen me in any meeting?”
