Police operatives in Lagos State have arrested a young lady who allegedly stole N200k at a provision store in lyana Ipaja area of the state.
It was gathered that the lady sneaked into the store on Wednesday morning, January 25, grabbed the said sum, and hid it in her underwear. A source narrated how she went about it:
“She sneaked into the store as soon as the owner stepped out. She used a hijab and pretended as though she wanted to buy something.
She took the money and immediately put it in her underwear.
Unfortunately for her, the owner actually went to the next store to get something and as soon as the lady turned to leave the store, the owner came in.
I think the owner saw her putting the money in her underwear and immediately apprehended her.”
The lady, who was later taken to the police station by the store owner, said she stole the money because she was hungry.
