I’ll Deal With PDP National Leadership On Tuesday – Wike Fumes

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has stated that he will “hit back” at the Peoples Democratic Party’s national leadership on Tuesday.

The governor, a G5 member, spoke at a campaign rally in the state’s Etche Local Government Area on Monday.

Wike reacted to the PDP national leadership’s warning about some lawyers appearing in court without legal briefs or authorization.

The PDP has stated that it will not hesitate to take harsh measures against any infractions that are misleading, questionable, or fraudulent.

Debo Ologunagba, the PDP’s spokesperson, referred to Article 42 of the party’s constitution (as amended in 2017), which delegates sole responsibility for litigation to the National Legal Adviser.

According to Ologunagba, only the official has the authority to hire outside lawyers to handle cases on behalf of the party.

On Monday, Wike warned the PDP leadership that any attempt to smear anti-party allegations leveled against him and his allies would cause repercussions.

“Anti-party propagates anti-party. Have you seen what they’ve done? We took Rivers’ small parties to court… SDP, APC”.

“The people in Abuja that say they are national went and collude wrote to our lawyers to hands off the case in a plan to kill the cases we filed”.

“I told him to take them off. No worries, the cases will perish. “I’ll hit them back by tomorrow,” the Rivers captain hinted.
