Abia State governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has been invited as Special Guest of Honour as the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors, NARD holds its July National Executive Council meeting in Umuahia, Abia State capital, ABN TV reports.
Tagged ‘Umuahia 2021’ Chief Host of the event which commenced from Monday, July 26 — Saturday, July 31 is the Medical Director Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia Prof. Azubuike Onyebuchi.
With the theme ‘The Nigerian Doctor: An Endangered Species: Grappling With A Pandemic, Poor Work Place, Infrastructure and Security Threats, the President Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors, NARD, Dr. Okhuaihesuyi Uyilawa will be the host.

The event is currently ongoing at Michael Okpara Auditorium, Library Avenue Umuahia Abia State.
The keynote speaker is Prof. Chuks I. Kamanu, Dean of Faculty of Clinical Medicine, College of Medicine and Health Sciences ABSU.
The CEO Green Farms Enterprises, Sir G.C Onyendilefu is chairman of the event.
Expected to be discussed at the occasion is ‘Health sector unionism: the challenge of our current situation’ among others.
