Ikpeazu Sacks Arochukwu Local Govt TC Chairman

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has approved the immediate removal of Mazi Emmanuel Ukwu Obasi Kanu, Transition Committee Chairman, Arochukwu Local Government Area, ABN TV reports.

Mazi Kanu is also directed to immediately hand over property and affairs of the Council to the Deputy Transition Chairman of the Council.

No reason was however given for his removal.

A release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem also says that the Governor has approved the recall of the suspended Transition Committee Chairmen of Aba North and South Local Government Areas, Chief Victor Ubani, and Hon. Cherechi Nwogu respectively.
