Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers has lauded Super Eagles star, Kelechi Iheanacho’s hattrick in the team’s 5-0 win against Sheffield United as an outstanding performance.
Iheanacho who had scored in two consecutive league games was eyeing a first career achievement of scoring in three consecutive EPL games and he did so in style scoring three goals in the process.
A delighted Rodgers told Skysports that the Nigerian international’s performance shows his determination and hunger to succeed with the team.

“[Iheanacho] was outstanding, not just in his goals, but his overall work-rate,” Rodgers told reporters.
“He had a big responsibility today, in terms of dropping into the space, finding that pocket that was just on the back of the midfield, and I thought he did that very, very well.
“He’s a great guy. He deserved the three goals. He had one or two other opportunities, but we’re all delighted for him.”
Overall, Iheanacho has been directly involved in 50 goals in 76 starts across Leicester and Manchester City, scoring 36 and providing 14 assists.
