The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba today, 29th November 2022 commission Police school, new Divisional Headquarters and Special Protection Unit, SPU base complex in Aba and Umuahia.
The projects are part of the efforts of the Inspector-General of Police to fight crimes and criminality through the enhancement morale-boosting welfare packages and anti-crime psychology of officers.
He also seeks to offer policing services in conformity with international best practices.
The IGP had in October commissioned various model Police Stations and residential buildings in the Kurudu area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Birnin Yero, Zangon AYA, Makarfi Division of Kaduna State, a new ultra-modern model police station in the Madi area of the Ilorin metropolis in the Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara state and laying the foundation for New Mobile Base in Kogi State respectively.
The project unveiling is part of the ongoing welfare and modern policing projects executed by the present police leadership under the command of IGP Usman Alkali Baba.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba has completed the construction of over 198 projects including more than 120 modern police stations, barracks, and other vital police buildings around the country since he was appointed the IGP.
