Kenneth Okonkwo, a veteran actor and spokesperson for the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, has predicted that Peter Obi, the party’s nominee, will become the next president of Nigeria provided the presidential tribunal fulfills its “true bidding.”
He said this lately while appearing as a guest on News Central’s Politics HQ show.
He said, “If the court of justice will live up to its true bidding of being a court of justice, I will tell you by the grace of God, Peter Obi will be the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Okonkwo claimed that section 134 2b of the Nigerian constitution made it plain that a candidate should not be recognized as the victor of a presidential election if they did not receive 25% of the vote in the Federal Capital Territory.
He asserted that the judiciary must uphold its true purpose if Nigeria’s democracy is to be saved.
