Ibeku youths under the aegis of Concerned Ibeku Youths Movement, have said they are in full support of the governoship bid of former Chief of Staff in the state, Hon. Mascot Uzor-Kalu.
Mascot is seeking to succeed Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu as the next governor of Abia State on the platform of Action People’s Party, APP.
The coordinator of the group, Comrade Chiemeka Ugbaja disclosed the support of Ibeku youths to Mascot at his (Ugbaja) residence in Umuahia in a chat with newsmen on Wednesday.
Comrade Ugbaja assured that come 2023, youths of Ibeku will vote massively for Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu whom he said has outstanding administrative experience, human development capacity, international connection and recognition, credibility and the doggedness needed to put Abia back to the path of infrastructural development and economic growth.
Comrade Ugbaja further revealed that while it is a duty the youths owe their conscience to vote for credible leaders in the forth coming election, voting for Honorable Mascot Uzor Kalu they said will bring an end to PDP’s administration in Abia State and usher in an era of all-round development and growth.
Speaking further, comrade Ugbaja revealed that concerned Ibeku Youths are sensitizing people from other parts of the state to vote for Hon. Mascot Uzor kalu in the 2023 election, and expressed optimism that with the response they are getting, Hon. Mascot Uzor kalu will be victorious at the polls come 2023.
He also called on Abia youths who have not registered for their Permanent Voters Card(PVC) to go to INEC operational branches and register, and enjoined them to ensure that they go out on the election day to cast their votes for Hon. Mascot Uzor kalu.
