I Have No Desire To Be Coach – Son

Tottenham captain Heung-min Son has distanced himself from going into managerial job after he retires from football.

Son made this known in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, where he said that he doubts his mentality to be a head coach.

“It’s a promise to me and a decision I’ve already made”, he told Harper’s Bazaar.

“I love soccer, but I don’t have the ability to teach it to others, and I love the moment I kick the ball myself.”

On his leadership skills, he said in January: “When Harry (Kane) was here and he was missing some games with injuries. I felt like I needed to step up in previous years, I hope our players have this kind of feeling that they need to step up.

“In this situation, you grow as a player and a human being. Richy is doing a fantastic job, I hope he is hungry for more goals, also Deki (Kulusevski) and Brennan (Johnson).

“I hope everybody who is playing attacking positions can score as many goals as possible and bring us to a better position. I wish it more than anything else.”
