‘I Do Not Negotiate With Blackmailers, Criminals’ – Governor Otti Vows Never To Return To Past (VIDEO)

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has vowed never to negotiate with individuals blackmailing his administration through the media, declaring that those removed from power in 2023 will never return.

Speaking on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Grand Finale of the Power World Ministries 2025 Gospel Festival in Umuahia, Governor Otti assured Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, members of Power World Ministries, and all Abians that his government remains committed to the people’s welfare and progress.

“I want to congratulate all of you and thank God for keeping you alive to witness this festival. My prayer is that we will all be here again next year.”

Governor Otti expressed gratitude for Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai’s endorsement and the commendation from Rev. Dr. Uche Ume, stating that their recognition affirms that his administration is delivering on its promises.

The governor reaffirmed his stance against engaging with individuals who promote false narratives against his government, insisting that those who once thrived on corruption will not return to power.

“Anytime you see people supporting evil, they have already started derailing. Some individuals attack us in the media, but as the book of Jeremiah says, ‘They will fight us, but they will never prevail.’”

“God removed certain people through the backdoor in 2023, and they will never return. Now, they want us to negotiate with them, but I say this clearly—I do not negotiate with criminals. This government was brought in by God Himself. They did everything in their power to stop us, but God said no.”

Governor Otti assured the people that Abia State would never return to the dark days of misgovernance.

“For those who think things will go back to the way they were, I want to assure them—it will never happen again.”

Commending Rev. Dr. Uche Ume for providing cars to his pastors and emphasizing that “Power World Pastors don’t beg,” Governor Otti highlighted his administration’s policies aimed at improving the lives of Abians.

“From the beginning of this year, we abolished school fees. From nursery to secondary school, education is now completely free.”

He reiterated his administration’s stance on compulsory education, warning that any child found loitering during school hours would lead the government to their parents for necessary action.

Additionally, Governor Otti revealed plans to renovate and upgrade 221 schools across the state to ensure a conducive learning environment.

“In the next few months, we will be fixing about 221 schools. Some require only maintenance, but many need serious work to provide our children with decent learning conditions.”

Governor Otti reassured Abians that his government remains focused on delivering lasting change.

“It is still early days. I don’t care who succeeds me, but whoever it is must be better than me. God answered our prayers in 2023, and because of that, no one who wants to take us back will succeed.”

With ongoing reforms and infrastructural developments, Governor Otti continues to reinforce his administration’s commitment to good governance, accountability, and the progress of Abia State.
