The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won big in Saturday’s local government council elections as it cleared all the eight local government council seats declared by the Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission (BYSIEC).
Mr. Bulodisiye Ndiwari was declared winner in Yenagoa Local Government Council. He polled 56,103 votes. In Governor Douye Diri’s home council. Kolokuma/Opokuma, the PDP chairmanship candidate, Lelei Tariye won with 27,823 votes while in Ogbia Local Government Area, Golden Jeremiah polled 42,462 votes to emerge winner.
In Ekeremor Local Government Area, Onniye Isaac won with 35, 177 votes.
Former Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Chief David Alagoa and PDP Chairmanship candidate for Nembe polled 11, 829 votes to beat other candidates.
In Southern Ijaw Local Government, one time House of Assembly member and PDP chairmanship candidate, Target Segibo was declared winner having polled the highest vote of 36,326.
In Sagbama Local Government Area, Mrs Alice Allen Tangi emerged with 51, 543 votes and Febo Lucky won in Brass Local Government Area with a wide margin.
