Charly Boy, a veteran activist, has taken to social media to reveal how former President Olusegun Obasanjo allegedly barred 1.5 million Chadians from entering the country to vote in the upcoming 2023 presidential election.
The veteran singer, who made the announcement on his official Instagram page, stated that; “Obasanjo blocked 100 trucks containers carrying nearly 1.5 million Chadians from entering Nigeria to Kaduna to vote APC”.
According to Charly Boy, the Nigerian elder statesman received a call from a junior immigration officer that 100 trucks carrying over 1.5 million Chadians had crossed the Nigerian border and were on their way to Kaduna State, to which Obasanjo immediately responded by ordering his personal security officials to block all roads leading to Kaduna State, resulting in the trucks’ capture.
Charly Boy went on to say that the trucks lacked plate numbers and that the Chadians holding Nigerian PVCs pretended not to understand English, and that Obasanjo ordered such PVCs to be collected and destroyed immediately.
