Hoodlums Shot Man Dead, Dump Body In Umuahia Drainage (Graphic Photos, Video)

Suspected hoodlums have killed a middle-aged man identified as Augustine Inemesit and dumped his corpse in drainage opposite Living Word Academy, World Bank Upstair Line in Umuahia, Abia State, ABN TV reports.

ABN TV Online gathered that the victim who had about two weeks ago packed into his new apartment at about 8pm on Friday left his home situated behind Agbazuere Street by Nnokwa Street to a nearby dumpsite to dispose of refuse.

He however could not make it back home as he was said to have been attacked by the hoodlums.

A reliable source told ABN TV Online that the victim had pleaded with his attackers to spare him, an appeal that fell on a dead ear.

He was eventually shot on his head and his lifeless body dumped in the gutter.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Abia state, Godfrey Ogbonna confirmed the incident, saying investigation has commenced on the circumstances surrounding Mr. Inemesit’s death.

When ABN TV Online visited the scene of the incident, onlookers were seen, discussing the ugly incident.

The police have since evacuated the corpse to a nearby mortuary.
