The member representing Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha has pledged to foot the cost of WAEC for all public schools within her constituency comprising Isuikwuato and Umunneochi local government areas, ABN TV reports.
This according to the federal lawmaker is in her effort to increase human capacity development in our communities and stop incidents of youths leaving secondary school without WAEC or equivalent certificate.
In her verified Facebook page on Friday, Onyejeocha a forth term lawmaker said no society can make meaningful progress without paying attention to education.
“Education Is The Bedrock Of A Society. No Society Has Made A Meaningful Progress Without Paying Rapt Attention To Education And Its Sundries.
“Having Seen The Power Of Education, I Have Undertaken To Bear The Cost Of WAEC FEES Of All The Public Schools Within Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi Federal Constituency.
“This Is The Way I Want To Increase Human And Capacity Development In Our Communities And Also Stop Our Youths From Leaving Secondary Schools Without WAEC Certificate.
“This Gesture Would be Limited To Indigent Students In Subsequent Years.
