The Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on his appointment as the Pioneer Senate Committee Chairman of the South East Development Commission (SEDC).
Hon. Ogah described the appointment, announced by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, as a well-deserved recognition of Senator Kalu’s vast experience, leadership acumen, and unwavering commitment to the development of the South-East region.
He commended the former Abia Governor for his dedication to public service and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the commission effectively towards achieving its mandate, which includes infrastructure development, erosion control, security restoration, and economic revitalization in the South-East.

Hon. Ogah further applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigerian Senate for their foresight in establishing the commission and for entrusting Senator Kalu with this critical leadership role.
