The Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Hon. Obi Aguocha, has announced the official disbursement ceremony for his 2025 Educational Support Program, scheduled to take place on Thursday, 17th April 2025.
The event will be held at Ochendo Hall, Umuahia North LGA Headquarters, starting at 9:00 am prompt.
In a statement released by his office, the lawmaker called on all notified prospective beneficiaries to be present at the event. This year’s edition of the program will see a total of 284 students receive educational support across different levels of learning.
According to the breakdown, 160 students in tertiary institutions, 64 in secondary schools, and 60 in primary schools will benefit from the scholarship scheme. The distribution is based on a well-structured and equitable formula that ensures representation across all 32 wards in the constituency, with each ward allocated approximately eight slots — four for tertiary education, two for secondary, and two for primary.
