Hon. Maduka Okoro Carpets His Elder Brother Dr. Esme Okoro, Mao Ohuabunwa, Says Abia North Can’t Return To Frying Pan Empowerment Era

Hon. Maduka Okoro, Spokesperson and media aide to Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has taken a swipe at Dr. Eme Okoro, the leader of Follow Better Group, a group canvassing for the return of PDP’s Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa as Abia North Senator in 2023.

This is even as Hon. Okoro says Abia North can no longer return to the period of frying pan empowerment which according to him was the greatest project Sen. Ohuabunwa undertook during his term as Abia North Senator.

Speaking with ABN TV on Sunday, Hon. Okoro describes Dr. Eme Okoro and his group as retrogressive and not progressives, saying they do not mean well for the people of Abia North.

He said any right-thinking person knows that Sen. Kalu is the only elected officer in the Senate that has touched the lives of his people for better in the last two years.

According to Hon. Okoro, Sen. Kalu is building the largest garri processing plant at the hometown of Sen. Ohuabunwa whom he accused of only distributing frying pan to the people of Abia North as his greatest empowerment.

He said Dr. Eme Okoro does not live in Abia State and is not in touch with what is happening in Abia North.

He challenged Dr. Eme Okoro who is his elder brother to tour round the five local governments in Abia North and witness what Sen. Kalu is doing.

While insisting that there is no place for Sen. Ohuabunwa in Abia North come 2023, Hon. Okoro urged the Follow Better Stakeholders group led by Dr. Eme Okoro to come as a delegation to thank Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu for helping to bring quality roads in Arochukwu and building garri processing plant in the local government where Sen. Ohuabunwa is from.

He said Sen. Kalu has embarked on an aggressive empowerment scheme in Abia North and has earned awards as a first-time Senator.

The group has recently said Abia North has lost its voice in the Senate, calling for the return of Sen. Ohuabunwa in the Senate in 2023.
