The member representing Bende North constituency of Abia state, Hon. Chukwu Chijioke has expressed gratitude to his constituents for the show support, solidarity and love.
ABN TV reports that the lawmaker who is marking his one year in office said the period had been very eventful for his people, though challenging.
According to Hon. Chukwu, before coming into office as a representative of the people, the budget for 2019 was already prepared.
Hon. Chukwu said the year 2020 availed him and other lawmakers the opportunity to ensure their people have a good life.
“We have put in place a lot of projects. We have started some. For instance, the water and electrification projects in Amankalu Alayi is there, the healthcare centre in Ugwueke which we are renovating and putting in order, the creation of access road in Oka Item and others. We have not left the welfare of our people unattended to.

“We have assisted in the payment of school fees, medical bills and other welfare packages for our people especially this period of COVID-19,” he said.
While stating that the pandemic has slowed the activities lined up for the people, the lawmaker revealed that in a few days to come he will roll out food palliatives for the people of Bende North State Constituency.
In addition to this, he said efforts are ongoing to assist the people even as the farming season continues.
He also added that plans have been concluded to grant soft loans of N30,000 to N50,000 in a bid to give them a good living.
While expressing gratitude for the support he has enjoyed so far, he expressed his willingness to create a platform for wealth creation and self-reliance among the people of his constituency.
