Member representing Bende North constituency in Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu has congratulated Senate Chief Whip and Senator representing Abia North, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu as he celebrates 61st birthday today, describing him as the people’s light.
According to Hon. Chukwu, Senator Kalu has demonstrated that his political career is not for self aggrandisement but for selfless service in interest of his people.
“A rare breed of dogged fighter and people’s servant, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu is one of the greatest sons of Abia of all times who have used their time, expertise and resources to enhance the people’s living standard.
“He is a firm believer in fair, equitable and just society who has used the privilege God bestowed on him to pursue the welfare of others.
“A leader who listens to his followers, Sen. Dr. Kalu has remained a model for good governance in our dear country. He has redefined excellent leadership as a private businessman, Governor of our great state Abia and now a Senator. The infrastructure he has attracted to the people of Abia North in a short while is an eloquent testimony to this.
“His birth is a blessing to millions of our people who look up to him as a guiding light and a beacon of hope. I join friends, associates and loyalists to celebrate a dexterous leader and administrator who have carved a niche of honour for himself” Hon. Chukwu said in a statement on Wednesday.
He also prayed God to continue to enrich the federal lawmaker with long life, wisdom and good health even as he offers himself for the service of his people.
