Hon. Ben Kalu Salutes Speaker Gbajabiamila At 59, Describes Him As Selfless Leader

Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu has congratulated the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila as he clocks 59, describing him as a selfless leader and true nation builder.

In a felicitation message made available to ABN TV on Saturday, the Bende Federal Constituency Abia state representative said the Speaker has demonstrated wisdom and passion in handling the affairs of the nation’s governance.

Stating that the Speaker has advanced the course of equity, justice, and fairness as the number four citizen of the country, Hon. Kalu lauded him for raising the bar of parliamentary practice in Nigeria and the African continent.

He said, “It is with great pleasure that I join the world to celebrate on this special day, the Honourable Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, a selfless servant and an effective leader; a man blessed with enormous wisdom and passion for our nation and whose leadership is anchored firmly on fairness and justice.

“As German writer Jean Paul Ritcher once said, “our birthdays are feathers in the broad wing of time.” Mr. Speaker, your 59 years of existence so far, have added a colourful plume of character, integrity, service, and patriotism to Nigeria’s history. As the Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, you have redefined legislation and lifted the bar for parliamentary practice not just in Nigeria but in Africa and beyond. The House has recorded remarkable achievements as a result of your commitment to nation-building and good governance.

“Today as you celebrate your 59th birthday, on behalf of Bende Federal Constituency, I pray that you continue to increase in wisdom and strength, and may the coming years be filled with more impact and fulfillment.
