The Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, has released an extensive two-year scorecard highlighting his legislative achievements, constituency projects, health and education interventions, and empowerment programmes since assuming office in 2023.
The scorecard, which captures projects executed across both Isuikwuato and Umunneochi LGAs, presents Hon. Ogah’s performance in what many observers describe as one of the most visible and people-centred representations from the constituency in recent years.
According to the document, Hon. Ogah has sponsored several key bills, including the Establishment of the National Institute for Organic Agriculture & Food Safety Research, Ulonna, which has already passed in the House, a Bill for the Creation of Etiti State, the Constitution Amendment Bill to create Uturu-Chieze LGA, the Federal School of Nursing & Midwifery Uturu Bill, and the Private Institutions and Health Care Service Providers Regulation Bill. He also pushed amendments to strengthen the National Agency for the Control of AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
The lawmaker also moved multiple motions of urgent public importance, including calls for action on rising insecurity in Abia North, the reconstruction of Mmamu Bridge in Umunneochi, erosion control in communities across the constituency, investigation of Abuja’s non-functional CCTV installation, and special malaria treatment interventions.

On infrastructure, Hon. Ogah’s scorecard lists the construction of modern markets in Ugwunwangwu, Eke Amiyi Uhu, and Ndiawa Isochi; rehabilitation of roads including the Ekeukwu Uturu Road and the Ulonna North 3.9km access road; and ongoing construction of the Obiulo Lekwesi–Leru Link Road. Schools in Eziama Nneato, Onuaku Uturu and other communities have benefited from new classroom blocks and renovations.
The health sector saw major upgrades under his tenure, including the renovation and equipping of Achara Hospital Uturu, installation of solar lights and repairs at Isuikwuato General Hospital, and the ongoing construction of Cottage Hospital Umuchieze and a Mother and Child Hospital in Isuikwuato. He also sponsored free medical and eye-care outreaches across communities.
In education, the scorecard records scholarship support, WAEC mock examinations, provision of laptops and learning materials, and infrastructure development in secondary and tertiary institutions.
Hon. Ogah also facilitated major empowerment programmes, including the distribution of thousands of bags of rice, cash grants, agricultural seedlings, and tools to women, farmers, youths and vulnerable groups. A mega empowerment event worth over ₦500 million was also executed within the period.
To boost water supply and electricity, the lawmaker installed multiple solar-powered boreholes and solar streetlights across the constituency.
He further intervened in security matters by facilitating engagements with federal security agencies to address kidnapping, banditry and violent crimes affecting communities in Abia North.
Releasing the scorecard, Hon. Ogah reaffirmed his commitment to quality representation, saying the projects reflect his pledge to ensure that both Isuikwuato and Umunneochi receive the level of development they deserve.
