Hon. Amobi Ogah Mourns Passing Of Elder Statesman Chief Edwin Clark

The Member Representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Edwin Clark, describing him as a patriotic leader and a champion of justice.

Chief Clark, a former minister and an influential voice in Nigeria’s political landscape, passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 97. Hon. Ogah paid tribute to his contributions to national development, highlighting his unwavering advocacy for the rights of the Niger Delta people.

“Chief Edwin Clark was a pillar of courage and wisdom, a man whose life was dedicated to the pursuit of justice and fairness. His voice resonated with strength, and his actions spoke volumes in advancing the cause of equity in our nation,” Hon. Ogah stated.

The lawmaker acknowledged Clark’s efforts in drawing national attention to the challenges of the Niger Delta region, noting that his activism led to significant progress in addressing the area’s developmental needs.
