Hon. Amobi Ogah, the member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of His Royal Majesty, Eze Sir Dr. Godson Irononso Ezekwesili, Ochi 1 of Isuochi.
The revered monarch, who was the longest-serving traditional ruler in Umunneochi LGA, passed away at the age of 88. His family and the Isuochi Community Development Association (ICDA) announced a three-week mourning period starting March 27, 2025, with funeral details to be released later.
Hon. Ogah described the late ruler as a visionary leader whose reign brought peace and development to Isuochi. He praised his service as a member of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers and his contributions to the state’s progress.
Extending his condolences to the royal family and the Isuochi community, Hon. Ogah prayed for the peaceful repose of the monarch’s soul, noting that his legacy of leadership and unity will be remembered.
