Heightened Security As President Buhari Visits Lagos

President Muhammadu Buhari is anticipated in the state, hence there are several security personnel stationed at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos.

According to NAN, the President would visit Lagos from January 23 to January 24 to commission a number of projects.

The Lekki Deep Sea Port, a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project between the Federal and Lagos State governments and a private business called Tolaram, is anticipated to be officially opened by him.

The 18.75-kilometer, six-lane rigid-pavement Eleko Junction to Epe Expressway and the Lagos Rice Mill, one of the largest in the world with a capacity of 32 metric tons per hour, are also anticipated to be opened by the president.

He will likely dedicate the John Randle Center for Yoruba Culture and History as well as the Blue Line’s renowned first phase.

In advance of the president’s visit, security troops from the Army, Navy, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Police, and Air Force, among other agencies, were stationed in key areas at the presidential wing.

Additionally present were representatives from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).

Additionally, traffic wardens were visible at the roundabout and expressway close to the airport’s presidential wing, ensuring that traffic could move freely around the axis.
