A 200-level student in the Department of Linguistics, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, Subair Enitan, has surpassed a 50-hour hand wash marathon to beat the Guinness World Record.
As of 8pm yesterday, Enitan who started the washing of clothes at roughly 1 pm on Friday, had hit 55 hours.
The student who described motivation by her colleagues was still washing with hands and vowed to continue till she tires.
Her mother, her friends in the university, and other places were motivating her with songs and dance while she shook her head to the music.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Prof. Abayomi Daramola, who represented the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Simeon Bamire, encouraged the students while the Student Union President, Abass Akinremi-Ojo, led the students to boost her morale.
