In Gidan Goga, Maradun Local Government Area, Zamfara State, the village of Kakin Dawa, a district, was attacked by gunmen who are thought to be bandits.
DAILY POST learnt that the hoodlums abducted over 50 women and children.
According to a community member, the gunmen stormed the village at about 1:30 am on Sunday with sophisticated weapons, moving from house to house.
“Everyone started running because the armed bandits have been targeting our village; later we discovered that more than 50 of our women were abducted,” he told DAILY POST.
Speaking further, he pointed out that the kidnapped victims included young girls and married women.
He appealed to the federal and Zamfara State governments to deploy more military and security personnel to the axis to engage the terrorists.
