A point of sale (POS) shop at Anguwar Dawaki in the Suleja area of Niger State has been attacked.
The owner of the POS stand, 31-year -old man, Bala Isah, was killed by the gunmen who stormed his shop.
The robbers came on a motorcycle. They also carted away phones on display for sales.
A witness, Usman Zubairu, said, “The incident happened around 10 pm on Monday. The robbers also went away with several Android phones that were displayed for sale in the shop.
Zubairu said, “It was God that saved me because my house is just a few meters from the POS shop. While on my way to the shop to make some withdrawal, a man alighted from a motorcycle and opened fire on a customer in front of the shop.
“The shot man died instantly. The robbers then went into the POS shop and carted away N260,000 and phones.”
Niger State police spokesman, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the incident and advised POS operators to stop late-night services.
