A Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State has been abducted by suspected bandits terrorizing the area.
ABN TV learnt that the incident occurred early hours on Monday when the criminal elements operated in the area along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway.
The DPO, who was recently posted to the area, was reportedly on his way to Birnin Gwari to report at his duty post when he was abducted.
When contacted by our correspondent, Mohammed Jalinge, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state command, said he would inquire and revert.
