Gunmen Attack New Artisan Market In Enugu, Kill Soldier

Tragedy struck at the New Artisan Market in Enugu State on Wednesday evening when gunmen ambushed a military vehicle, killing a Nigerian soldier identified as Aaharif Ibrahim from Borno State.

According to eyewitnesses, the armed attackers opened fire on the soldiers in a surprise assault, leading to chaos in the market. The deceased, Ibrahim, was reportedly shot dead on the spot, while other military personnel managed to flee to safety.

Security operatives have since been deployed to the area to restore calm and investigate the attack’s circumstances. However, the identities and motives of the assailants remain unclear at the time of this report.
