Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, are reportedly trying to mend their relationship following a brief separation earlier this year. The couple, who tied the knot in 2014 after decades together, spent Easter weekend in Barcelona, sparking hope for a reunion.
According to Catalan news outlet El Nacional, the two are “prepared to give each other another chance,” just months after beginning divorce proceedings in February, following their split in January.
Serra, a fashion entrepreneur, relocated to Barcelona in 2019 with the couple’s youngest child. Reports suggest Guardiola’s decision to extend his stay at Manchester City may have contributed to the strain in their marriage.
In an effort to bridge the gap, Guardiola reportedly plans to make more frequent visits to Catalunya.
Together since 1994, the couple share three children and have largely kept their personal life private.
Amid these personal developments, Guardiola remains focused on Manchester City’s campaign for a top-four Premier League finish and an FA Cup title. However, any potential summer break may be cut short by City’s involvement in the Club World Cup.
