Groups Give Abia Speaker 7 Days Ultimatum To Declare ABA North Assembly Seat Vacant

As the debate continues over the non representation of Aba North State Constituency for almost Six Months now , Coalition of Aba North Ethnic Youth Groups have asked the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly Rt Hon Emmanuel Emeruwa to declare the State Constituency Seat Vacant within Seven Days.

In a Protest letter endorsed by 30 of the Coalition of different ethnic groups and made available to Journalist in Aba , the group lambasted an earlier call on the Speaker to Swear in Hon Aaron Uzodike whom they said never won the election but wanted to benefit from it ‘Through the backdoor”

The General Leader of the groups Comrade Ukah Mathew said his members will take to the streets of Aba to protest if the Abia State House of Assembly Speaker refuses their call after seven days

We are calling on our brother the Speaker to do the needful and declare the ABA North State Constituency Seat Vacant so that INEC can conduct a fresh election, We voted for Destiny Nwagwu, we cannot allow Aaron who lost even in his Polling unit to represent us”

“There’s no where in Nigeria any politician that benefited from court judgment can be sworn-in without Enrollment Order or Order of mandamus mandating Mr Speaker to swear the person in but in the case of Aaron there was no such Order for that he can’t be sworn-in no way,” he said.
