The Abia State patron Nigeria Prays, Amb. Charles Nzechi has congratulated the founder and National Coordinator of the group, Gen. Yakubu Gowon as he marks 86th birthday.
Amb. Nzechi noted that even at a blessed age of 86, the former military head of State has never hidden his patriotism and commitment for a more egalitarian Nigeria.
In a congratulatory message, he issued on Monday, Amb. Nzechi the founder of Charles Nzechi Foundation recalled how devoted Gen. Gowon has been in the service of God and humanity which saw him transversing around the country in solicitation of divine intervention for the country.
“I join millions of our patriots to felicitate with a nationalist and leader, Gen. Yakubu Gowon as he marks 86. No doubt he is one of the most outstanding Nigerians who have committed their entire lives in ensuring a united and prosperous Nigeria.
“He rose to the peak of his career as a military officer through hard work and merit. He has cut a niche for himself by being at the forefront in taking the country’s challenges before the divine throne for God’s intervention through his group Nigeria Prays which I am a member.

“A detribalized and peace-loving Nigerian, our country’s history book will be kind to him for the selfless services he has rendered and still rendering,” he said.
The philanthropist also prayed God to continue to keep the former military leader to see a Nigeria he fought for.
