Former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi has lost his local government area in Ikwerre to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The PDP received 13,716 votes in the governorship election in the state, defeating the All Progressive Congress (APC), who received 7,503 votes.
