Governor Otti Sets Up Panel To Recover Government Properties, Funds

The Abia State Government will on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, inaugurate a Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the Recovery of Government Properties and Funds belonging to the state.

This is contained in a statement on Monday signed by the governor’s chief press secretary, Kazie Uko.

He said the panel, approved by the state governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has five members.

Hon Justice Ikwuoma Duruoha-Igwe (rtd.) is to serve as the Chairman.

Other members are: Prof Ogwo Ekeoma Ogwo, Prof Ursula Ngozi Akanwa, Mazi Ugochukwu Okoroafor and Rev Father Barr Alex Okonkwo.

The panel will be inaugurated at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Umuahia by 12 noon.

The new government had upon resumption of office on May 29 warned officials of the immediate past government headed by then governor Okezie Ikpeazu to return all government properties at their disposal.
