Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned elder statesman and Chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Chief (Dr.) Senator Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, CON.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ctz. Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, on Tuesday, made available to ABN TV, Governor Otti described Pa Clark’s death as a significant loss to the nation.

“Pa Clark’s passing is a great loss to the nation, and I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, the Government and people of Delta State, the Ijaw Nation, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the Governor said.

He praised the late statesman as a nationalist who devoted his life to Nigeria’s development, particularly in the Niger Delta region. “His contributions to the development of our nation will be remembered for generations to come,” Otti added.

Senator Edwin Clark, a former federal minister and prominent advocate for the rights of the Niger Delta, was widely respected for his unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and national unity.

Governor Otti joins the nation in mourning the revered leader and prays for strength for his loved ones in this difficult time.
