The Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, accompanied by his wife, Her Excellency Mrs. Priscilla Chidimma Otti, attended the 36th Convocation Ceremony of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) on Thursday, December 7, 2024.
The ceremony, held at the university’s premises, was a significant event, showcasing FUTO’s legacy as a premier institution of technology in South Eastern Nigeria. The occasion was graced by an array of distinguished personalities, including the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator (Mrs.) Oluremi Tinubu, CON, OON, Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, and the Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Zulum.
A highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degrees (Honoris Causa) on Mrs. Tinubu, Governor Uzodimma, and Governor Zulum, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to national development and governance.
