The recent bandit attack that occurred in the middle of the night in Maru town and resulted in the deaths of police officers, vigilantes, and other people has been characterized by Governor Bello Mohammed as heinous, heartless, and a cowardly crime.
In a statement, the governor’s special adviser for public education, media, and communications, Zailani Bappa, said that the administration was aware of the bandits’ desperate endeavor at the moment to project superiority after they had just been depleted of strength.

The statement emphasized, “This latest attack was indeed unfortunate but will not slow down the tempo of the security operatives to exert more pressure on the bandits until their nefarious activities are nipped in the bud.”
It explained that Governor Bello Mohammed cut short his official engagements in Abuja and visited Maru town, especially the points of the incident and has condoled with the affected victims of the heinous attack.
While the state government would continue to render its maximum support to the Security operatives in the state, the statement explained that all citizens are advised to increase their vigilance and alertness and report any suspicious persons or movements around their communities.
