Governor Alex Otti has officially flagged off the reconstruction and dualization of the 5.95km road from Abia Express Tower to Onu-Imo Bridge, marking a major milestone in his administration’s commitment to revitalizing Abia State’s infrastructure, ABN TV reports.
This project is a key component of the Abia City Gate Initiative, aimed at transforming entry points into the state into symbols of progress and development.
The road project, awarded to Craneberg Construction Company, a reputable firm known for delivering quality results, will include drainage systems on both sides and solar-powered streetlights for enhanced safety and functionality. The construction is scheduled for completion within 18 months.
Speaking at the event, Governor Otti reaffirmed his vision of making Abia a model state, with modern infrastructure serving as the foundation for economic growth and social development.
