“We have commissioned about six brand new roads, newly constructed roads. The information reaching me is that we have another four or there about completed and ready for submission most of them are in Aba.

“In addition our zero pot holes policy is being implemented to the later in major towns including Aba and Umuahia.

“Our selection of roads has been on their strategic importance, very soon, we will also commence our efforts in riding Aba of flooding, particularly ariara market and all the corridors around there.

It’s a very ambitious project and we want to beat the rain.”

“From the drawings designs all the meetings we had between yesterday and today, it does appear it will take more than 18 months to rid Aba of flooding, so our challenge now is to divide the project into faces within the next two days we will come up with a comprehensive plan.”

“We are also very infested with desiding the whole of Aba and Umuahia and we believe that will help save the roads we are building and also save the environment from flooding.”

“The next thing that we have been doing is just keeping our environment clean and decent, that’s a big problem because the amount of waste that has been accumulated over a long period of time, as we clean more waste comes out.

In the last few weeks our orientation agency has taken up a job of educating people and letting them know that it does not make any sense to live in a dirty environment.”

“This evening I was told that there were a few streets in Aba that don’t have about 18 bins , in the next one week we will provide bins for those streets, I believe it’s the same thing in Umuahia. So when we provide the bins please help us in throwing your garbage into the bins.”

“We also believe that our energetic young men can be better employed and better and better used than going around as stouts and agboros so we started a program of re-orientating our people and also providing the enabling environment for small scale businesses and also providing access to capital for them so that they can be more productively induced than running round the streets and the roads looking for people to scam or people to molest. So you will see more serious approach towards Eradicating Stouts and stouting.”

“Within the period we also set up the Abia global Economic advisory council, the council was launched here and the whole idea is to get people who know better than we do, who have more exposure than we do to support us by providing spices of advice right and center particularly when it has to do with the economy and also opening doors for us to attract capital both local and foreign because without capital you cannot build the modern state that we have in mind.”

“I want to thank the members of the advisory council particularly those that came personally and those that joined visually and those that were not available that have accepted to serve on the Global Economic Advisory council, I believe their work has started and I am very confident that Abia will be the better for it.”

“It is also interesting to know that this well accomplished individuals are serving as state pro- bono we are not paying for it, so it is mark o
